With the new version of XBintegrator V3R0M2 you can use our new development studio, XBintegrator development studio (XBids).
With the new version of XBintegrator V3R0M2 you can use our new development studio XBids, which offers you a multi-user and project based development environment with test/production support, code assistant and completion, help and wizard functions, drag and drop functions, an SQL-builder and "the code generator".
Included in the new environment is a central repository and several local repositories with user access at 3 levels (Developer, teamleader and Administrator).
To develop in a multi-user environment, we added an extensive version control feature to the product (test/production, roll-back, compare function between scripts and a lot more). A new syntax validation function checks your scripts against the XBids syntax instantly and automatically. The Error Window provides you instantly information about the type of error.
In addition to the XML interface in XBscript, we offer you now a graphical design interface to declare all objects and resources in the declaration part of a script. This graphical interface is designed to define objects through panals. Some of the more complex declarations will offer you a wizard function like the new SQL builder.
To manage your schemas, we added a schema store to the product. Based upon the schemas in the store you can now generate your inbound and outbound scripts. During the generation you can define what to generate (all elements, parts of elements, with or without subroutine creation, ...).
From within a template repository you can also add some repetitive script parts with a simple drag and drop. To complete you script we added some nice features like the resource window (overview and selection of user, system, special variables, dataqueue definitions and programs on the iSeries).
The database selector enables you to retrieve file field information from the database files on your iSeries. With a simple drag and drop you can now interconnect the databasefields upon the XML-elements.
Most of the functionalities available in the WRKXB400 5250-interface are now also available through an easy to use graphical user interface.
