CurriculumVincent started his career in the information technology industry in 1988, as a PC application developer and AS/400 system engineer with a worldwide port handling logistics group located in Antwerp. There he had the opportunity to be involved with the first Belgian AS/400 beta testing program on behalf of IBM Rochester. In 1989 he also had the opportunity to develop his own windowing and database toolkit for MS-DOS. Technical programming on the AS/400 and the PC became his specialty and passion. In 1992 he joined a Belgian Business Partner of IBM, as a technical specialist where he was responsible for different Strategic Outsourcing projects within IBM Europe. During this period he acquired the fundamental technical knowledge about consolidation, performance, security and data communication issues where he developed important new system software for IBM. Based on that reputation he was contracted by IBM Global Services as a senior consultant for many of their European projects. Since 1997 he also became an instructor in the European IBM Education Center in Belgium, teaching a broad range of the curriculum courses. In 1998 he started his own ICT consulting company 'Inventive Solutions' focused on system integration, data communication and web services based on the newest technologies on iSeries, Linux and Windows. |
